ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION
Ultrasound examination is an important tool that allows the doctor to monitor the condition of the patient’s tissues both at the stage of the initial consultation and in the subsequent post-treatment period.
Before the procedure, all patients who plan plastic surgery of the breast should undergo an ultrasound (in some cases, a mammogram) to assess the condition of the tissues of the mammary glands.
After the procedure the patient must undergo the controlled investigation to locate the implant position and the quantity of the implanted material. Ultrasound in this case allows you to make sure that the implant is placed in the correct area. The ultrasound examination must be performed after 7 and 30 days from injection day.
In the future, the patient should undergo regular ultrasound examinations in order to ensure that there are no undesirable reactions or signs of adverse events.
