BREAST AUGMENTATION: HEIGHT, WEIGHT AND AGE

Millions of women of different ages and body type are turning to surgeons in the hope of finding the perfect breasts.

What physiological limitations exist, excluding medical contraindications?

Height

It is clear that height does not affect the indications for surgery. A woman of absolutely any height can enlarge a breast or change its shape. However, in any case, proportions must be taken into account to achieve an optimal aesthetic result.

Age

There are some age restrictions. This applies to the lower bar. A girl who has not attained the age of majority, will be denied a breast operation. The explanation for this is simple: in girls under 18 years old there is plenty of hormonal changes, and any careless action can disrupt this delicate process.

As for the upper age limit, then everything is individual, and depends primarily on the patient’s health status. If during the medical preoperative examinations no contraindications for mammoplasty are revealed, then it is possible for a woman of any age to undergo a breast augmentation procedure.

Weight

Overweight patients may be denied breast surgery. The effect is not even the weight itself, but the health problems with which it is accompanied: diabetes, heart problems, breathing problems and more. It should be borne in mind that after breast augmentation, the patient should not lose much or gain weight if possible. All this can adversely affect the results of the operation and the overall attractiveness of the breast. So, with a significant decrease in body weight, a decrease in size and its sagging (ptosis) are possible. If the weight increases over time, the breast also does not stand still, and its size increases.
